The Arizona Society Of Wound
Clinicians Is Dedicated To Advancing.

The Arizona Society of Wound Clinicians was founded to bring together the people who are passionate about improving wound care across Arizona. Our mission is to create a collaborative community where clinicians, researchers, and industry partners can learn from one another, share ideas, and stay current on the latest advances is wound care, both clinical and operational. Through education, networking, and advocacy, we aim to support all professionals involved in providing wound care services within Arizona.

Mission Statement

The Arizona Society of Wound Clinicians is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Society is dedicated to advancing excellence in wound care through professional education, interdisciplinary collaboration, research, and advocacy. We seek to unite clinicians, researchers, and industry representatives in a cooperative effort to promote evidence-based practices, foster innovation, and improve patient outcomes. Through the dissemination of knowledge and the cultivation of partnerships among all sectors of the wound care community, the Society endeavors to enhance the quality of care for individuals affected by acute and chronic wounds throughout Arizona and beyond.

Team Members

Dr. Michael Desvigne

Board of Directors

Dr. Michael N. Desvigne is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in complex wound reconstruction. With certifications in plastic surgery, general surgery, wound care, and hyperbaric medicine, he brings a comprehensive and innovative approach to wound healing.

A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he is also a member of ASPS, The Aesthetic Society, the Wound Healing Society, and several national wound care and hyperbaric medicine organizations. His work has led to the development of multiple inpatient and outpatient wound care programs nationwide.

With a background in the U.S. Air Force and medical training from the Uniformed Services University, Dr. Desvigne’s career combines military discipline, clinical expertise, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.

Jody Wolfe

BSN, MBA, RN, CWOCN, is a healthcare operations leader with over 25 years of nursing experience and specializes in wound and ostomy care in acute and post-acute settings.  She combines clinical excellence with strategic oversight, driving program development, provider engagement, and operational performance in complex care environments. Known for her focus on patient-centered outcomes and staff education, Jody has led multidisciplinary teams while advancing best practices in wound management. She is also an active contributor to the field, supporting professional education and collaboration through leadership in clinical organizations.
